You would think a morning tea break at a local courthouse would just involve some stale biscuits and bad instant coffee, but things took a massive and violent turn today. Absolute chaos erupted right outside the Batemans Bay Local Court when proceedings were temporarily paused for the morning.
Instead of grabbing a quick snack, attendees were treated to a brutal physical altercation right near the entrance. The wild scene escalated quickly, resulting in one man being aggressively knocked to the ground and repeatedly punched. The brawl got so out of hand that both local police and a court sheriff had to jump into the fray and physically intervene just to pull the men apart.
At this stage, authorities are still trying to piece together exactly what sparked the savage courthouse throwdown. Police have officially launched an investigation into the incident to figure out the motive, and a 30-year-old man has already been slapped with handcuffs and arrested at the scene. It is definitely not the kind of court recess anyone was expecting.
