A quiet evening in the Gold Coast suburb of Molendinar turned into a horrifying crime scene last night, leaving a 17-year-old boy fighting for his life and a man facing severe charges.
Emergency services rushed to a property on Batchworth Road at around 7:30 PM following frantic reports of an altercation. Upon arrival, paramedics discovered the teenager—a local from nearby Carrara—suffering from a devastating stab wound to the chest.
According to reports, the brutal incident stemmed from a targeted neighbourhood dispute that violently escalated. The young victim was treated at the scene before being rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition.
Queensland Police quickly established a crime scene and launched a manhunt after witnesses reported seeing two individuals flee the area in a white Mercedes-Benz dual-cab ute before officers arrived.
Following ongoing police investigations, a breakthrough in the case has resulted in a man being taken into custody. He has officially been charged with intent to maim in connection with the stabbing.
