"My Whole Life Almost Changed in a Split Second": A Gamer's Reflexes vs. A Head-On Collision

It was a standard drive that nearly turned deadly in the blink of an eye. Reddit user BuzzyBubble shared a harrowing dashcam clip showing just how fragile safety on the road can be. According to the driver, an SUV was speeding down the wrong lane—doing 50 in a 35 mph zone—heading straight for them.

"I’m still shaking from this," the driver wrote, recounting the terrifying moment the oncoming vehicle filled their view. Relying on reflexes they attribute to years of playing racing simulators like Forza and GTA, they managed to swerve at the last possible second.

Tragically, the drivers behind them weren't as lucky. The SUV violently collided with three other cars immediately after the near-miss. "I watched it in the rear-view and I’ll never forget the way it looked and sounded," the witness stated. "Terrifying."

First responders, including over ten police units, fire trucks, and ambulances, swarmed the scene instantly. While the physical wreckage was massive, the psychological toll was immediate: "I just want to know what the hell this guy was thinking... My whole life almost changed in a split second."
